Ar the annual meeting of the rahpaycis of the Waitoa Road Distmt, tdjouined ftolll Friday, tllC Ist, foi want of a. ijikmuiii t> Saturday, the 2nd, there were 17 rate payers jiies'i-nt. Mr \V. P. Chepinell, who occupied the chair lead the notice convening the meeting from Tho Waikato Time>. He then read the, minutes of the last annual meeting, which were con tinned. He also lead the balance sheet and auditor's leport, w hich were adopted on the motion of Mi W. A. Murray, seconded by Mr S. K. Kvans. Fiom the balance-sheet it appealed that the receipts for tho year .-.mounted to E'22'.1l Us !>d, including a balance fr the previous year of IMOlj IK and the expenditure to £233H Bs, leaving a debit balance of JL'l7 Us 3d. The auditor repotted everything coiiect. Votes of thanks to the chairman and the board, proposed by Mr David \ndi imhi, seconded by Sh W. A. Muriay, concluded tho bu-i-ness.
