The Intercolonial Eight-Oar Boat liace w,is rowed to-day .on the P.irr.unatta River. Crews from four colonies were entered for the event, which lias hitherto been Victoria v. New South Wales. A splendid race took place, resulting in the victory of the New South Wales crew by two lengths. Victoria was second, Tasmania third, Queensland last. Mklbourxe, April 26. It has been decided to increase the Victorian militia by 1600 men, and volunteer corps will be formed in all townships where railway communication exists.
