BUTTER AND CHEESE MAKING IN WAIKATO.
Mr Criwkord, of Ingr.un and Co., arrived at Hamilton by yesterday's, traui. for the purpose of (ittmg up tha butter plant in the WaUwfco Factory. O.tpfc, Rnncinian, who was in Auckland on business in connection with the factory, was also a pa<*suugur. Butter making is now forming an important feature in name of our cheese factorie-. The Faterangi Fac tory has ceasod cheese making for the season, and the manager is now busily engaged working the butter plant. As in »v bo expected, the milk supply has fallen off veiy considerably, and the entire supply is now used for butter. One of the gieat advantage^ of butter making is that when the cream is taken off by the sep.uator the milk is given back to the supplier^, who use it for feeding uui(>r>*es. Tho facton y is now getting Is a pound f >r all it can Bend to Auckland. Off thK however, the freight takes about twopence. The butter plant of the Waikato Factoiy is expected to be leady in a few dajs.
