The paddock* at Eilershe, leased for 7^ years ranged from £2 to £2 17* *>d per acre, yearly rental, Horse stock were yarded in full numbers. For nondescript animals, pi ices are low, but good stock of all classes maintained fair values at the auction prices, ranged from 25s to £45, On Tuesday April 21, best hides brought fiom 3 J .d to 4id ; calfskins, 3Jd per lb. ; tallow, 2^3 to 2ni gd per cwt. ; pelts, lOd to 2s each ; wool, f>§d to sid per lb. At Keinuera ou Thursday, dany cows at their prodt were in brisk enquiry ; store cattle at late values : fat cattle m'full number, but many of tho^e from Waikato were falling off in condition, and consequently dull oi sale. Prices were low, and ranged from 15s to 20-. the lOOlbs. A gi>od draught of cattle would average 18s the lOOlbs. Sheep wenin short supply, and advanced m puc» about 1b each. A good many have been brought forward, but there was little desire to purchase evinced by the public except foi horse* of a really good stamp, which sold well as compared with the previous week. Cattle : There has been a large muster of beef cattle, and a good many dairy cowh, but under an average of stores. Prices for fat beastn receded slightly, particularly for those not sufficiently up. Dairy and stores unaltered. There was over an average supply at New market on Tuesday, tho exception being stores ; dairy cows were competed for more particulaily good ones , stores, at the previous week's values. Prices for fat beasti leceded, for indifferently fatted, 20s ; and for top sorts, 10s per head. Sheep wore in average supply, competition was good throughout the sale, and prices eventuated to the satisfaction or vendors at the prev ious week's values. Pigs were in adequate numbers and met coirespond ing demand. Baoin pig* were cheap, but young Berkshire sold fabulously high.
