Three Lovee. When first I loved— long, long ago— My spirit sojourncd,ulone In a realm of happy dn aras. I tiow PrL'Twas a fanciful w^ikl of my own. An J she whom I loved was one of the dreams, A viaion of beauty and grace ; But I woke, and well nigh forgot her. Meseems I can hardly recall her face. Again I loved, when older grown, With a paseionjdoep and strong ; And she whom I yearned to call ray own Vowed she had loved me long. But I caw her enfolded in the arms Of one she had loved before ; He was raining down kisses on her charms — And I swore I would love no more. Yet once again I loved. The Past jgjDiatrust had taught in vain ; By pabfion etined, my heart throbbed fast, My pulse beat high again. The story of my life is done ; I have nothing more to Bay ; My sweet last love and I are one For over and ever and aye. Wm. Butty Kr\-(,sicN.— ln The Theatre.
