At Waiuku on Satutday, April 4, ii m iderate muster ot cattle met a fair de maud. Dairy cows were in request at full values; young evttle were lower in price than usual. At Pukekoli3 on Monday a smaller mustor of stock than average sold fieely, puticululy dairy cows. At Kemuera on Thursday the dairy stock offered woie of a vmy middliu n ' quality, aud dull of sain. Store cattle were also at low values. Fat cattle were in full minib.ji, but in diiiniud. All good stock sold fieely at about '2M per lOMIm. Fat calves in brisk enquiry at full values, bheop were penned in usual number, but were lovvir in piKo than last week, anout # I* each. Good lambs were shoit of ie|iiironieutS and at higher values. On Tuesday, we held oui usual weekly sale. The supply was an average one and late prices were maintained. Cattle : At the Newmarket yards on Tuesday, the supply of dairy and store stock w.us up to the average, but owing to the holiday mteifering with both steatneis and railway trains, tho supply of fat cattle was small, and consequently prices ruled higher. On Wednesday, at Pukekohe, the yards were well filled, and store stock of all descriptions were m stiong demand. For good steei s, from one to fo'ir years old, there remains an unsatisfied demand. Sheep : The supply on Tuesday was largo, and last week's pi ices fully "sustained. Lambs were scarce, and sold well. Pigs : A large number penned, and demand brisk. Bacon pigs are in request.
Messrs G. W. Binwky and Co. report that at their sale on Tuesday, 7th inst., of wool, hides, and s-kins, they had a full citalogne, and placed all lines at satisfactory prices, viz. : First-class stout hides, 3id to 4id ; light, 3Jd to 33d ; inferior, 2 'd to 3d ; calt-kins, 3d to 4\d per lb. ; station skins, Is 3d to 2s 4d ; pelts, 9d to lid each.
