THE REBELS DISAPPEARING. THE ADVANCE POSTPONED. [Received April lst, 2 45 p m ] Suakim, March 30 (evening.)
Spies who come in fiom Hnskoen, Tamai, report many evacuated villages in the neighbourhood, and a detachment of cavalry will consequently reconnoitre in the direction of Taniai to-morrow. A reconnaissance was made to-day as far as Haskeen. A few rebels were encountered, but they retired on the approach of the British tioops. The construction of a line of railway from this place to Uand.mt is being vigorously proceeded with. The New South Wales Infantry were reviewed this afternoon by General Graham. The colonials wore the new karke uniform, and presented a smart appearance. In consequence of the disappearance of the rebels from the neighbourhood of Haskeen the proposed general advance from this place to Tamai has been postponed for a day or two.
