CvMIUUI)fii:-TAUHANGA ROAD. — The chatinian icported that hs had seen the chaumanof the Tauranga County Council respecting tlio grant for the formation of this rood. He ascertained that the Tauianga Council had received the whole of tho Government grant for tI)Q work, and they now wanted leave to do certain woik on tho road in tho Piako County. — Leave grantod. Tk Akoh y-Katikati Road.— Cr. Murphy reported that the Government were spending the grant of last session on this road, Tho work was being pushed on with every possible haste, and tlje roa 4 would be open for ti attic at an early date. Road through Wilson's Section.— A reply was icooived from Mr Warden Konnck lespocting a request from tho Council that he should take tho road thiough Wilson's (Section at Waiorongomai, having the necessary poweis vested in him by the Goldfieldo A«it, Ho \uu\ not the power to tako the land for the road as requested, ivs tho land was not within tho goldneld, but tho Council had the powoi to do so under tho Public Works Act. — Cr.
