The Annexation Fever in Tiji. The Arawata has arrived from Fiji with the news that the agitation in favour* of of annexing Fiji to New Zealaud is assuming stiength.
Clarkes Bankruptcy. The hearing of the application in the case of J. Clarke, Te Aroha, .1 bankrupt, was lesumcd before Mr Gillies to flay. James Tait .Terrain, accountant, deposed to inspecting the debtor's house. He did not open the cupboards. Some of the goods now pioduced (clothing and groeeiie«) might have been in the house at the tune, Iwt he thought he should have seen the poitmnutcnu and candles had they not been hidden. The debtor was not in the house at the time witness made the inspection, but Mrs Clark was there. Detectne Doolan and Sergt. Emerson deposed to afterwards searching the house and findiDgthe ai tides of the estimated value, £27 10a. The case was ultimately dismissed on technical grounds, his Honour holding that the debtor should have been formally asked by the assignee if he had disclosed the whole of his estate. Sale of Land.

To-da\ he will bold his usual horse and produce sale at Cambudge, and a number of horses, including the thoroughbred mare Miss Griffiths. He his for sale 1000 crossbred ewes to arn\e from papier about the 7th April, and 2000 wethers about the 20th.
