At Pokeno a small muster of cattle sold satisfactorily. Sinci* the rams thero h an improved enquiry for store cattle. The sale at Drury on Wednesday was fully attended by buyers. Dairy cattle at or near calving were eagerly bought, and an advance over lato vaTue-. given ; young '•tore cattle were also in better inquiry. At Remuora on Thursd iy, dairy cows at profit were in demand at an advance over previous values. Wellbred store steers were also at higher values. Fat cattle wore in average supply, and generally of choice quality. Pnce> advanced, and best quality reached 22s Gd the 1001 bs. Sheep were shoit of usual supply, and an advance of Is each were obt uned. Fat lambi abundant, but required and maintained lato values. Pigs of all kinds were numerous, but maintained late pi ices, and sold satisfactorily. Mmsiw. Hun run and Nol \.n s Weekly Report.—Horses : A good many havobeen brought forward, and a steady dem md has existed, but no notewoithy alteration in value. A large number were ontered at the Durham Yaids, on Friday. Competition was steady throughout the sale, and with few exceptions those offered found purchasers at a shade lower rates thtn those ruling the previous week. Wool, hides, and skins: No noteworthy alterations. Cattle : The supply has been an average one, and there was an upward tendency in the value of fat beast-., but d,ury and store stock remained unaltered. There w.is a good number of fat beasts at Newmarket, on Wednesday, and spnited competition, subsequently prices ajv.mced fully 10s per head : dairy and stores un»lteit>d in value. Sheep were penned in average numbers ; stock being low, pi ices advanced fully 2s each. But few lambs were submitted, and mostly of interior quality, 8s (id being the top price. Pigs were yarded in increased numbers, and sold at from 2d to 3JUI per lb live weight. Messrs G. W. Binnky and Co. report that at their weekly sale on tV.e 17th mst. of wool, hidei, skmi, and tallow, a •-te.idy demand exists for well-saved hide.i. Medium and heavy weights receive special attention from buyers. We quote: Firstclass clean hides 3j\d to 4^d ; medium, 3^d to 3^d per lb ; pelts, 9d to Is 4d ; lambskins, Is od to Is 8d each; wool, 4jd to 5Jd per lb.
