At Remuera on Thursday, dairy cows at c living were in brisk demand at full l>i ices Fat cattle in less than average number, were more freely competed foi, but except for very choice quality v\eie .it no higher values; prices ransed from 18s to 20s the lOOlos. Ht'.NTKil AND NOL VN'S WhfcKU Kn'our.—Horses : There has been a huge amount of business done. An unusually large number were brought forward and found purchasers at an advance of from 10s to til. The Durham Yards were completely iilled on Fnday, and again at the special salo on Wednesday ; and, as at both sales, iic.iily all the lots found purcbaseis. An unusually large number changed hands. Tlieio was no noteworthy alteration m value at the regular sale on Friday, but animals of a corresponding stamp advanced in value fully £1 each at the special sale held for Messrs Morton and Chadwick, on Wednesday The colts were of a very fine stamp, and elicited keen competition. The Ti.\m Company being the largest buyer-. We quote hacks from £)> 10s to £17 ; light harness horses, from £11 to £18; heavy, quick draught, £20 to £27 ; diaught, £3.J. Wool, hide and skins : Supply limited, and of but medium quality. Hides hold at fiom :<[d to 3 t'd ; bkins, Is 2d to 2s <id each; wool. .V,d to ~>i per lb. Cattle : A good many of all descuptions have been brought forward, and found purchasers ; dairy and store fully maintained the previous week's ' values, and fat beasts were a shade low ci. The Newmarket beef nens were well filled, and theie was a bteady competition, but pi ices declined Is per lOOlbs. There was a good muster at Pukekohe on Wednesday, and steady competition, throughout, so that almost without exception the cattle vaided changed hands, the result being a veiy successful sale. Sheep :An average nuinbei were yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday, the demand was fairly brisk ; best wethers ieali!>ed l(ss 9d ; inferior 10s 3d ; ewes, fiom 4f to 11s lid ; lambs sold at fioni (>s !)d to 12s 3d. l'ig-> : bearce ; good porkeiu sold at 4d pel lb. live weight.
