A\" engagement with the rebels, under Omii m Digna, i-. evpected to take place mi the L'Otli Lord Wolseley, who is suffering with an affection of the eyes, will probably return to Cairo. The inhabitants of K'issala were reduced to great straits through f nnine before the town fell into the hands of the rebels. The AVar Office are willing to supply officers and sergeants to the Australian contingents. A large sum has been offered at home towards the patriotic fund. The native troops in Hyderabad, Bhopal, Pattiala, and Gheend, volunteer for service in the Soudan.
Stakim, March 4. The reinforcements of troops from England and India for the Soudan operations are now arriving here.
