The National Mortgage Agency New Zealand report of tlie local grain market as follows :~ Shipping wheat, quiet, .'ss 7d to 3s 7d ; malting barley, slightly impnned tendency, Is to 4s 9(1 ; New Zealand oats, sluggish ruling, 2s 9d to 3s 2d ; malting, 3s 2d to 3s .Id ; New Ze.tl.md oats, on bond, 2s Gd is 2s 9d ; rye-grass, 3s 9d to 4s 3d, with rather more enquiry at lower pric< h. The same company has sold kauri pine ck Mary Hlair, at the following prices: — Hewn logs, per 100 superficial feel, 12s Gd to 13s; sawn Hitches, 13s 9d to 1 7s : sawn boards (1] to 3in.), 13s 9d to 18s; dressed boards (£in.), 22s Gd to 23s 6d ; tongued and grooved flooring (I by l'l) per 100 lineal feet, 8s 3d to' 8s Gd. Kami timber in great demand.
