(2.) Wuie the domain lands now offeied for lease by auction, the board would fix the upset price fully .10% less than it did in August, 1881, nnd in the opinion of tlie board, the prices they w.iul<i ieili*e would bo fully the same per centage lus«. (3.) Under thexe circumstances the board recommend a reduction of 50°^ on the rents now prayed for in the lessees' petition sent to the Minister for Lands some time back." Hoskinpf, lesx-e of sections 32 and 38, applied that the board should re-enter on these sections, although he had spent £i) 3 in improvements. — Matter deferred till ne\t meeting. Application for Lkask.— Mr E. Hill offered to lease the 10 acre section adjoining Mr Taylors property. Ho would do all the labour of putting up fences, ploughing, harrowing and putting in grow, tho board to find fencing material and seed. Tlie rent and other details he would arrange with the board at any time they might appoint. He was aware the lease would only be for a .shoit period.— lt was agreed that Mr Hill be asked to state pi ice for clearing, ploughing, including four hai rowings, liyiug down m gias^ ; .il-o fencing at pet chain and |ici acie.
