[Received February 4th, lpm] New York, February 3. O'Donovan Rossa was to-day shot at and wounded in the street of this city by an Englishman. The latter was at oiicj arrested and detained in custody. London, February 2. Gilbert, the Irish American who was arresti'd on suspicion of being concerned in the dynamite outrage at the lower on the 24th ultimo, was to-day re-examined at the Bow-street Police Court The evidence adduced showed that the prisoner had been in the habit of frequenting the Tower, and that lie had in his possession a loaded detonator. The enquiry was further adjourned.
