London, January 24. Intense excitement has beon caused here by a daring and well-planned attempt to damage tho Jlouao of Parliament and the Tower of Loudon by dynamite explosions. Early this afternoon the first explosion occurred, dynamite having been lodged iv tho first crypt under Westminister Hall. The windows of tho hall were smashed by the concussion, and a large hole was made in tho floor. Two policemen and somo visitors who were present wore seriously injured. A few minutes later a second explosion occurred, tho spot being under tho Strangers' Gallery in tho House of Commons. Tho western end of the Chamber was completely wrecked by the force of the explosion. Ono person who is suspected of having caused the explosion was arrested on tho spot. Tho third explosion occurred about the s«ime time, tho scone being at the White Tower of the Tower of London. Numerous visitors wero present at tho time, and four persons wero severely injured. The windows in tho neighbourhood were broken, and tho buildings sustained considerable damage.
