Visitors had completed their second innings, but when the stumps were drawn they wanted 18 runs to win, and had three wickets to fall. If the match ccmld have been played out it is probable they would have carried off the laurels, but to that extent fortune did not favour them. It is to be hoped, however, that the two teams will again have the pleasure of tiying conclusions before the Bsason is over, as they are foemen worthy of each others steel, and the second match, when it does take place, is certain to be a keenly contested one. — (Own Correspondent. ).
