A BIG TEXAN RANCHE.

The Company acquires tho Cresiwell range, situated on the Canadian Rive*," j ftt- ? the Jpenbdndl©] ipf Texas, which comprises 150,000 acres freehold, and 160,600 acres leasehold, and controls l>y its water rights and fences ad iaeent grazings over an area of about 1,000,000 aores, which are pienerved for tlie Creeawell cattle alone. The range is stated by Mr John Clay, juni, Chicago— a thoroughly competent authority— to combine in a remarkable degree the three primary necessities for successful ranching — pood grass, plenty of water, and the best of shelter ; and the herd, he states, cannot be excelled. The cattle on the range number 37,500, and the vendors guarantee an act ail delivery, by count or othcrwire, of not le*3 than 35,000 ; while there have also been acquired 6000 Texas steers bought this year for feeding. The Company have been fortunate in acquiring the services of Mr R. G. Head, of the L'rairie Cattle Company, nnd Mr James Mackenzie, late of the Western Laud and Cattle Company, who. have been appointed joint managers, and whose names are sufficient guarantee for competent and efficient management. Under the law of Texas there is no legal disability in an alien company holding or dealing in heritable property ; the important subject of title, therefore, is free frc n all donbt. The range is said to be capable of carrying 70,000 head of cattle. The capital is £320,000.
