Wool, Hides, and Skins . The second wool sale of the reason was held on Monday. Prices for gieasy ranged from T^d to 7td per lb : merino, 8d 5-Kiths ; washed, B^d ; hides, fiom 2 f 'd to 3',d ; calf skuib, 4 t d per lb ; skins, fiom 2s ( Jd to 4s (id ; tallow, 2"5s per cwt. Cattle : The .-upply has been rather a large one, the demand Hteady, resulting in no material alteration in price. Tlieie was steady competition throughout the sale and for beasts leally well up iv condition last week's values were given, but medium quality weie a shade lower. There was no notewoithy alteration in the value of dairy cows and store stock. Sheep : At Newmaiket on Tuesday the number bi ought forwaid was scaicely sufficient for requirement, and there was consequent advance of fully 2-. head. Lambs wete plentiful. Pigs : Veiy hhoit supply : good porkeis find sale at 3f,d per lb, live weight.
