Bonnie Prince's sire is the illustrious stud horse Piince, the property of Mrs Nimmo, Otago. Prince, for purity of breeding and as a getter of prize stock, J is unequalled iv the colonies ; his stock having been sold for higher prices than ever was obtained for any other horse's stock in Otago. Prince is a bright bay, stands 16^ hands high; sire, Piince Charlie (imported); dam, Princess Maud the Ist (imported). Prince's sire, Pnnce Charlie, dark bay, foaled 1835, of the pure Clydesdale breed, imported from Scotland by J. and M. Macintosh, where lie had been exhibited seven times and gained seven first prizes. Prince's dam, Princes" Maud the Ist, bay, foaled 1833, imported from Scotland by J. and M. Macintosh In Scotland, Princess Maud gained 18 prizes, includ-ii-g a Silver Medal in Glasgow, when a three-year-old, against all ages. Gipsy, Bonnie Prince's dam, her sire the celebrated horse Em pel or. Emperor lias gained thiee first and three second prizes. Einpeior's sue Napoleon, imported by the late J. Nimmo, gained first piize at the Bucklyve and Gartmore Agricultural Society's show as a two-year-old. Bonnie Piince, foaled 1879, is a bcauti fnl bright bay, compactly built and of very superior action, and has proved himself a sure foal-getter, and has gained the follow in? prizes :— Fust at the Dunedin Agricultural Show, 1880; first prize Taieri Agiicultuial Show, 18S0 ; first prize Dunedin Show, ISSI ; first prize Taieii Show, 1881 ; and same day first prize for best draught entire horse in the yard ; fir&t prize Dunedin Show, 18S2 ; first prize Taieii Show, 18S2, and first prize for best entile hoiseon the ground, any age ; also, first prize Palmerston Show, ISS2 ; and first prize Blueskin Show, 18S2, and same day first prize for best horse or maie on the ground, thus finishing his show career up to date unbeaten.
