Mining. Nbw Fivd.—Crushing with 20 head of stampers is bjing continued at the battery with very satisfactory returns. The yield of g»'d for the cunent month, it is expected, will be very much better than last. M\y Qitekn.—A crushing of some eight or ten trucks will be commenced to-morrow, taken from the tramway level. DiAmond Gully.—This mine finished crushing List night, and will probably get finished up totnotiow. Prkmikr. — This company started crushing of some tight or ten trucks of stone to day. The manager does not value it quite so rich as the last six trucks, which yielded over oozs. per truck.
The Holidays. Opeiations on the mines will b^ closed for the year on the 20th, and a fortnight's protection giauted.
