A very limited market of sheep obtained a slight advance over last week's price, but fat lambi were abundaut, and generally of choice quality. HUNl'Kll VXD NoLAN'h WeKKI.Y Repoki'. — Horses : Tlieio was an improvement in the market as compared with the previous week, both as to the animals brought forward and the price obtained, but values favour the purchaser. The Durham Yards market was well supplied on Friday. Competition was steady, and a slight advance m price was obtained. We quote : Hacks, at from £(i 10s to £10 ; light harness hordes, from £7 to £10 10d. Wool, Hides, and Skins: There was an upward tendency in value, which was partly attributable to the quality being bettor. Cattle : The number yarded was below the average, and there was an upward tendency in value, particularly for fat stock. There was a short supply at Newmarket on Tuesday of dairy and store stock, but the Papakura yards were quite filled on Wednebday. Dairy stock were a httle higher in value, and well-bred steers were also a shade higher, j but prices still rule in favour of purchaser. There was an advance of fully £1 per head obtained at Newmaiket as compaied with the previous week, and pi ices did not fluctuate nearly so much, consequently the average value was higher. We quote beef from 19s to 22s per 10011s. Sheep : There was a very limited number penned on Tuesday at Newmarket, and consequently prices were firmer than on the previous week, but there was no marked advance. Lambs sold at from 5s to to 12s 9d. Pigs :In rather short supply ; a few of a very good description sold at £1 14s Gd and £3 2s Gd.

Messrs G. W. Binney and Co. report at their weekly sale of wool, hides,, skins and tallow, the market was well stocked with hide-*, competition being brisk, and late rates well sustained. First-class cloan stout hides, 3]d to -i^d ; light, 3jd to 3-jd ; cut and inferior, 2\d to 3d ; calfskins, 3td to 4£d per 1b ; butchers' skuih, 4-* to 4<?
