CAMBRIDGE-ROTORUA ROAD.
Twknty-one men are actively engaged repairing the above road, under the superintendanee of Mr Mason. Three of the party are at work on the bush portion near Wawhutti, five between Oxford and Paeroa, four on the Cambridge side of Paeroa, and nine at Fergusson's gnllv. This last place which, until the laso week has been a veritable slough of despond, is now in decent condition, and about eleven miles of the road in all have been ternpoiarily repaired during the week the party has been at work. At present the holes arc being filled in, and the bad spots attended to, so as to make the road immediately available for the heavy traffic that may be shortly expected, and this work will be finished by the New Year. Afterwards the road will be properly formed from end to end.
