CAMBRIDGE JOCKEY CLUB SPRING MEETING.
Tjib privileges of the above meeting were sold at the sale-yard of Mr W. J. Hunter at noon on Saturday, when there was a fair attendance of bidders. The following prices were realised :—: — Grand stand bar . £12, A. B.ich Temperance booth £4 155, Wheelan Horse paddock . . £1 lOs, Stewart Gates £2oK)9,Jas.McNeiBh The cards were disposed of privately to Mr J. S. Bond for £4, thus making a total of £48. There was some eomplaiumg about the action of the stewards in disposing of the cards privately to Mr Bond. Mr Bond offered the stewards an average price on what the privilege had brought for the three preceding years. The stewards deemed such an arrangement necessary in order to allow ample time for the printing of the cards, and accordingly accepted Mr Bond's offer.
