The Blue Ribbon Army and the King Country. Auckland, Wednesday Night. The Blue Ribbon Army leaders are indignant at the exemption of Kawhia from the promised order prohibiting the liquor traffic iv the King Country. They are taking measures to get Kawhia in* eluded.
Bankruptcy. C. S. Hill, formerly landlord of the Victoria Hotel and lately of the Exchange, was examined before the Official Assignee in Bankruptcy to-day. He stated that the business of the latter hotel had been really without profit.
The Mails. The San Francisco mails per Australia left San Fraucisco on the 24th, two days late.
A Te Aroha Bankrupt. James Harding, carpenter, Te Aroha, was adjudicated a bankrupt to-day upon his own petition, with liabilities amount' ing to £128. The largest creditor is the New Zealand Timber Company, £51, The assets are estimated at £60.
Meat Freezing. The chairman of the Harbour Board stated, on authority, that the Frozen Meat Company will be able to export four or five cargoes yearly.
