Nomination of Candidates. The nomination of candidates to fill the office of Mayor for the ensuing term took place at the council clumber*, Hamilton, yesterday. The following gentlemen were nominated :— Mr W. A. Graham, by Messr-. James Hally and Wm. Jone->, and Mr Robert Peat bv Messrs James Misseu and K. Waite. Very few ratepayers! were present, and the proceedings passed off very quietly, neither of the candidates adcfressing tno»e prosent. The poll will be taken on Wednesday, the 20th inst, at the Council Chambers, between the hours of 9 a.m. and (3 p.m.
