Distance, once round the course. Entrance, lsov., to be made not later than 13 minutes after the Purse is run. Acceptances to be notified to the clerk of the scales not later than 15 minutes after the declaration of the weights. RULES AND REGULATIONS.
Nominations for Hurdles, Cup, Waikato Stakes and Publicans' Purse close at 9 p.m. on Satin day, 10th January, ISBS. Name, age, colour, and pedigree of horses and colours of lider to be sent to the Secietary on that date. Any jockey disobeying the commands of the starter will be fined 2sov&. Ten per cent, of all races except Cup, Selling Hack and Consolation to go to second horse. All protests must be in writing and accompanied with 2sovs , to be forfeited if the protest be deemed frivolous. Protests to be lodged with the secretary not later than fifteen minutes after the race. Noentiywill be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes or objections shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. Qualification for all races except Maori Race and Selling Hack, one guinea. Hoises walking o\er will leceive only 50 per cent, of the stakes. All nominations, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be sent to the Secretary, Te Awamutu, not later than 9 p.m. on Saturday, 10th January, 1885. Weights to be declared in N.Z. Herald and Waikato Tnihh on Thursday, loth January. Acceptances close at 9 p.m. on night of geneial entry, Tuesday, 20th January. No nominations or acceptances will be received under any pretence unless accompanied by tlie necessary cash. Through some of the horses not being at the post in proper time, the races at the last meeting were delayed, thus preventing the trains returning at the advertised time. Owners are now warned that if they do not bring their horses to the post at the proper time the race will be .started without them. Tlie first race will start at 12.30. Intervals of half-an-hour between each race except between Selling Hack ami Stakes and between Maori Handicap and Purse, when there will be an interval of 45 minutes. R. W. ROCHE, Hon. Secretary.
