THE WESLEYAN CONFERENCE. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
Chmstciiurch, Wednesday. In the Wesleyan Conference to-day, consideration of the religious condition of the aborigines of the Northern Territory of Australia occupied the attention of Conference this morning' The subject was remitted with directions to the Board of Missions, Sydney. Next October it will be fifty yenrs since the first Wesleyan Missionaries landed in Fiji. Ihe successes achieved during that period have been signally great. It was resolved that a jubilee of the mission should be celebrated on a grand scale. For this purpose deputation has been appointed oy general Conference to visit Fiji and take part in the demonstration The deputation will consist of the Kt*v J. Watsford (of Melbourne, and formei ly Fiji), Reid (of Auckland), Dr Kelynauk, (Sydney), also three laymen, Messrs Thomas Buddie (Auckland), James (of Sydney), and King, (of Melbourne) Dr Kelynack, waß re-appointed geneial secretary of missions.
