CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday.

To-day Miles and Co. held an auction sale of raoehorses at Mr S. Nosworthy's and at Middle Park. The following were the principal sales : —Mr Noaworthy's bay yearling colt, by Albany — Fallacy, Mr E. Lyons, ICO guineas; Mignon, with filly foal by Albany, Mr J. Brabaz.in, 100 guineas ; entire Korari, Mr Redwood, 99 guineas. At Middle Park there was a large attendance, aud the bidding was brisk. All the yeailinga sold were by Apremont. The following were the sales :—Biown coir, dam Watersprite, Mr G. Clifford. 300 guineas; brown filly, dam Becky Sharp, Mr 6. G. Stead, 150 guineas,; bay oolt, dam Miss Plat, Mr G G. Stead, 470 guineas; chestnut colt, dam Fleurange, hon. W. Robinson, 17<"> guineas ; brown filly, dam Red Rose, Mr J. Stephenson, 195 guineas ; brown filly, dam En Avant, Mr Gi.iham, of Sydney, 270 guineas. The civ stunt filly, dam Idalia, was put up, but the reserve of 1000 guineas w.is too high, and she was passed in Archduke, 2yr3., by King of Clubs—Maria Theresaj MrJ. Aimstrong, 250 guineas. Monday. At the settling of the C. J C races, the following amounts were paid over :—: — Hon Mr Robinson, £2,100; Mr Pilbrow, £S7O; Mr Redwood, £843; Mr Stead, 6400 ; Mr Clifford, £338 ; Major Nelson George, £283 ; Mr Vallance, £290 ; Mr Cutts, £70; Oapt. Russell, £237; Mr OBrien, £231; Mr Rutherford, £194; Mr Bates, £191 ; Mr Butler, £162; Mr Goodman, £153; and small amounts, making a total of £6,061.
