THE OXFORD ROYAL HOTEL.

We are happy to notice that travellers passing between Cambridge and Rotorua, are now afforded first-class hotel accommodation at Oxford. It is needless to refer to the accommodation of the past, suffice to say that for some years the want of a well appointed hotel, wher« travellers and visitors could rely upon being made comfoitablo and receiving every attention, has been very much felt. Mr Frank Rose, the popular host of the Masonic Hotel, Cambridge, recently took over the Oxford Hotel, and after spending about a thouband pounds in improvements he has now succeeded in providing the district with a first-class establishment. The size of the building has been nearly trebled, the additional accommodation consisting of single and double bed-roms,r >oms, sitting rooms, and a c.vpacious dining room, the whole comfortably furnished and fitted up in a first-class manner. The stables have also been considerably enlarged, and travellers can therefore rely upon getting abundant stabling accommodation, including loose box.es for their horses. The Okoroire Hot Springs, a short distance from the hotel, have become of late a source of great attraction, and are regularly visited by large numbers of people from Cambridge and other districts. We wish Mr Rose every success in his new house, and can confidently recommend the " Oxford Royal "to the travelling public.
