WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
♦ Thfi usual monthly meetiug of the Waitoa Road Board was held last Saturday, at which all the members were present. The engineer was also in attendance. It was reported that the faulty bridge on the Grant and Foster block has been repaired. A considerable number to tenders were I received for the ro.\d contracts for which ' tenders were invited. The tenders for Taylors road contract ranged from £240 10s lOd to £78. The tender of Mr Owen McCabe was accepted at £7S. j The tenders for the cemetary road contract ranged from £103 9s od to £33. The tender of Mr Owen McCabo was accepted at £33. The tenders for Murphys road contract ranged from £25 103 to £14 10s. The tender of Mr T. Stanley was accepted at the latter figure. Tendeisare to be called for soon for several other jobs. It was reported that the arreais of rates on Native lands have actually been received, amounting to ClO4 6-5 lOd for the two yeaio. It was also reported that £100 has been received on account of the Main-Thames-W.ukato load, under the Hotels and Bridges Construction Act.
