Melbourne, Monday. It has transpired that Mr Stout, Premier of New Zealand, has telegraphed to Mr Service, requesting to be supplied with further information regarding the proposed protest to the Imperial Government against the conclusion of the Convention with Germany regarding Pacific annexation.
Smith and Caughey, the well-known Auckland drapers, have secured on as long: lease tbe premises recently occupied by the late Mr John Smith, whoso widow Mrs J.
