Bo.vnie Pkin'oe's sire is the illustrious stud horse Prince, the property of Mrs Nimmo, Otago. Prince, for purity of breeding: and as a getter of prize stock, is unequalled in the colonies ; his stock having been sold for higher prices than ever was obtained for any other horse's stock in Otago. Prince is a bright bay, stands \6h hands high; sire, Prince Charlie (nnpoited); dam, Princess Maud the Ist (imported). Prince's sire, Piince Charlie, dark bay, foaled 1555, of the pure Clydesdale breed, imported from Scotland by J. and M. Macintosh, where he had been exhibited se\en times and gained seven first prizes. Prince's dam, Princess Maud the Ist, bay, foaled 1553, imported from Scotland by J. and M. Macintosh. In Scotland, Princess Maud gained 18 prizes, including a Silver Medal in Glasgow, when a three-year-old, against all ages. Gipsy, Bonnie Piince's dam, her sire the celebrated horse Emperor. Empeior has gained three fiist and three second prizes. E-nperor's sire Napoleon, imported by the late J. Nimmo, gained first pii/e at the Buddy ye and Gartmorc Agricultuial Society's show as a two-year-old. Bonnie Prince, foaled 1879, is a beautiful bright bay, compactly built and of very supeiior action, and has proved himself a sine foal-getter, and has gained the following prizes -. — First at the Dunedin Agricultural Show, 1880; fiist prize Taieri Agricultural Show, 1880 ; fiist prize Dunedin Show, 18S1 ; first prize Taieri Show, ]SSI ; and same day first prize for best draught entire horse in the yaid; fiut prize Dunedin Show, 1882; fiist pii/e Taieii Show, 18S2, and first prize for best entile hoiseon the ground, any age ; also, first prize Palmerston Show, ISS2; and first piize Blueskm Show, ISS2, and same clay first prize for best hoise or mare on the ground, thus finishing his show career up to date unbeaten.
