Brisbane, October 4. A serious collision occurred to-day on the railway line near the city. The d nver of one of the trains was killed, and several passengeis were seriously injured. The railway material was also much damaged. Melbourne, October 4. Two fresh cases of small-pox at Melbourne and two at Berwick were reported yesteiddy.
