Supreme Court. Arc'KLAXD, Friday Night. In the Supreme Court to-day Frederick Oren was sentenced to four years for forging, Edward Bickerton, six months for false pretences. William Smith, labourer, was acquitted of the charge of indecent assault on a schoolgirl at Rangiriri.
Suicide. Henry Mitchell, Hikurangi, who twice before attempted suicide, completed his purpose by cutting his throat near Kamo yesterday. The verdict at the inquest was: "Suicide while temporarily insane."
Sharemarket. The sharemarket was dull to-day, the business done being confined to Cambrias, whicli changed hands at Is Sd, and buyers same figure.
