The intended trip of members to Gisborne lias been abandoned, owing to the tU'tenvmmtton of the House to sit on Monday e\ ening. The North Island Trunk Railway Committee this morning took the evidence of Mr Wtllvinson, native interpreter, of the Thames. Tin; committee have now finished taking evidence. In the House to-night, on the motion of the Minister of Public Works, one week's cKtpnsiou of time \\a.s gianted to the North Inland Railway Committee in which to bring up the repoi t.
