Wednesday. The fiist annual report of the Marlborough Meat Freezing Company recommended 10 per cent dividend. During the year 15,950 sheep and Jamba were unpped to London, 4,818 via Wellington, and the remainder by direct shin from Picton.
The Journal of Ucmnerce, a Liverpool paper, of 14th July, contains an excellent desciiptive and statistical acts Hint of this colony. It says :— " A young colony like New Zealand has to improve her haibours and make roads, and this cannot be effected without resorting to borrowing. New Zealand is Qerfain to be as densely populated as England, and the expenditure now is like seed sown for a summer harvest.
