COUNTIES AND TOWN DISTRICTS.
The Chairman of the Cambridge Koarl Board has sent the following telegram to the members for the district : — The board and ratcpnycis of the Cambridge Road District desire me to express their strong disapproval of the proposal made by Mr Wells to have town districts exempted from county rating. They trust you will not introduce any measure for that purpose, 'ihey also a&k you to remonstrate against the unneces&aiy delay in opening the Cambridge railway for tratfiq. The Board and ratepayers of Catnbiidge Road District sincerely trust that you will strenuously oppose Mr Whyte's motion to exempt town districts from county rating and that you will remonstrate with the Government against the delay in opening the Cambridge railway for traffic.
