Ditrin'U the summer months the Union S S. Company intend to witluhaw the Penguin fiom the Fiji service, in winch she is at present engaged, and to replace her by the Aiawata. ''he Penguin will then take up the running of the Waiiaka in the Dtincdin-Mannkau trade, and the latter will be employed as a supplemental-} boatbetweenLyttelton, Wellington, and Nelson. This will gi\ aan additional weekly semoe between Lyttelton and Wellington each way, and two additional son ices between Wellington and Nelson each way. It is not proposed to put the Takapuna in cominibbion unless the passenger traffic shows a very consideiable improvement on that of last season. Should such appeav, however, the T.ikapan i w ill also itui from Lyttelfcon, Wellington, and 1 Nelson and back. After the Ist of j December it is intended to lesume the weekly service which was discontinued i at the close of last summer season. | The half - yeaily meting of the ! M.U.1.0.F.
