Caiko, September 20. The notification by Nubir Pasha tliat the Egyptian Government intended to resume the fill control of the finances of the country, in \ iolation of the law of liquidation, lias been strongly objected to by the Egyptian creditors, and protests have alieady been made by the Austrian, French and German Governments against the suspension of the Caisse de la Dette Publique, on account of the deficit which occurred in the Egyptian national budget. New York, September 20. A sharp shock of earthquake occurred to-day in the Western >tates. The distuibance was experienced over a large tract of country, and a large number of buildings weie damaged, but no loss of life has yet been reported.
