Hoi»a stock, particularly unbroken medium draught, weie plentiful, and lower in puce, about £3 each ; broken draught were also at slightly lower values. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday, a largo number of hides were pitched of very variable quality. Prices ranged fiom 1 jd to l^d thelb ; tallow, from 22s to 25s the ewt ; shuepskms. from Is lOd to 4s e.teh ; wool, 5Ad per 11). The country cattle sales held dining tiic week have been well suppoited, both by stock and purchasers. Prices for stoics, paiticularly grown cattle, have impiovcd, and dairy cows are in brisk demand. At Romnera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were in brwk cnquiiy, at an advance on late values. About 200 stoic steers, from thieo to four yeais old, were yarded, and weie steadily competed for/ Pi iocs ranged with condition, fiom £3 12* (id to £<> ns eieh ; e.ilves, 18s to 275 ; yeaiYmgn, £2 to £2 10> each : fat cattle in moderate .supply, and geneially of good quality. At the Dm ham Yaid-, on Fiiday, about the usual number were submitted by auction; on several occasion-* duiing the sale bidding was slow, but eventually neaily all in were disposed of at the previous v\eek's quotations. Wool, hides, and skins : There li.is been a maiked improvement m the demand, and prices were relatively higher than the previous Tuesday, 4\d pei lb. having been reached for top sort"; sheepskins, fiom Is 8d to 4-, 2d each. Cattle : The supply, though Mvriftd, has not been so Lugo as on the \nevious week, and about the same puces were given. Scarcely an aveiige nunibei weie yarded on Tuesdny at Newmarket. Competition was good tluoughout, but the previous week's iates were birely sustiined for butchers' stock, dairy, and store. Cattle maintained previous quotations. Sheep were also penned m model ate number-, ; foi best wetheis competition was keen, but indifferently fatted and ewes weie lelfitively lower.
