At the ieque^ of a number of the ratepayer a meeting was called by the chairman of the out-going boaid, to bo held in the Public Hall labt evening. The Ch.iiiman and a few ratepayer attended, but ab no one had obtained the key of the hall oi prepared lishts, no meeting could be held, and thooe assembled dispersed with some little dissatisfaction.
