CAMBRIDGE JOCKEY CLUB.

A mkktino of the stewards of the above club was held at the Criterion Hotel oh Tuesday evening last. Present : Mr F. A. Whitaker, vice-president, (in the chair), Messrs Asher, Hewitt, Isaacs, Moon, Allwill and Dr. Waddington. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Programme for Spring Meeting. — The Secretary submitted the following programme for the above meetinp, whicli was unanimously adopted : — Hurdles, 30sovs. ; Maiden Plate, 20sovs. ; Spring Handicap, 50sovs. ; Maungatautari Plate, 20sovs. (for natives only) ; Spring Steeplechase of 40sovs. ; Stewards' Handicap, 25sovs. ; and Consolation of lOsovs. This, it will be seen, represents the handsome sum of £195. A discussion ensued as to the day upon which the meeting should be held. It was fiually decided that the matter of fixing the date be left to Messrs Allwill and Scott, on the understanding that the meeting should take place during the first week of December. Messrs Scott and Allwill were instructed to communicate with the railauthorities respecting the running of a special train from Auckland to Cambridge on the day of the raoes, This was all the business.
