LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. TUESDAY.
[by telegraph.— press association.] Replying toMr Williamson, the Colonial Secictary said the railway from Hamilton to Cunbridge would be ready for opening about the middle of October. A motion affirming that the administration of the law for the protection of young fish is anything but satisfactory was carried. Several bills were advanced a stage.
WEDNESDAY. Nothing of importance was transacted in the Council.
