NOTICE is hereby given that the s itiko County Conneil propose, in accord.nee with the provisions of " The bounties Act, 1876," and the amendnents thereof, to borrow a sum of money >y way of special loan, and the particuars hereunder are published for the inormation ot the ratepayeis in accord - nce with section 140 of the said act :— The particular work for which the money is to be borrowed.— Defraying cost of Te Arolia Tramway. The sum proposed to be borrowed for the purpose.— £9ooo. Revenue it is proposed to pledgp as security for such loan.— Gold duty accruing to the council, rent ot ttamway if leased, and a special annually reciuring rate of one farthing in the £, such rate not to be collected in any year when the revenue from the two first- mentioned sources shall amount to the sum of £900. A meeting of the ratepayers of each iding will be held to consider the above iroposal at noon on Tuesday, the 23rd lay of September, 1884, at the undermentioned places in the respective ridogs : — Taotaoroa — Mr Hunt's residence.
