Sir, — Having noticed in the report of the meeting of the Piako County Council in your issue of August 30th that my name was not published as an applicant for the office of engineer, I beg that you will explain the reason, as I have received official information from the council that my application was considered in conjunction with the thcee names mentioned in your report, and I further beg that you will kindly correct the error in your next issue. — I am, &<?.■, Chakles P.
