The attention of intending tenderers is dnectcd to the following clause of the terms and conditions of contract punted at the back of the tender-forms : "The days and hours of anivals and dcpaitmes of mails will be stated in a time schedule attached to the bond, but other days and hours may from time to time be fixed by the Postmaster-General by notice in writing. For services pei fanned by coach no stage shall exceed twelve miles, except by special permission from the Postmaster-Gcneial, who shall determine whether or not longer stages are uuavoidable." Contractois whose tenders may be ac ccpted must be prepared to cany out the services for which they tender according to the time-tables fiamed by the department. Contractors must, in accordance with the terms and conditions of mail contracts, provide a free box seat on any vehicle, and a free passage by any steamer or boat, when requited, for an officer travelling on the business of the department. Foimsof tender, with the terms and conditions of contract, may be proem ed at any post office. No tender will be considered unless made on the piintud form. Tenders, indorsed "Tender for Mail Seivicc, No. ," to be addt eased and enclosed to the Chief Postmaster of the postal district to which the tendei may specially refer. *Ser\ ices may be affected by railway extension, aud may be teuninated by the Postmastei Gcneial on his giving one month'b notice in wtitmg. i Services may be terminated by the Postmaster-General on his giving one month's notice in writing. Conditions of lease can be seen at the AVai den's Office, Te Aroha, or upon application to the undersigned at Cambudge. All tenders must be addressed to " The Chairman of the Piako County Council," Cambridge, and marked on the outside of envelope, " Tender for Lease of Tramway."
