The following is the concluding poi fcion of the no - confidence debate cm Fiiday night: — Mr Macnrthur having spoken, the House divided on the question that the debate^ be adjourned, the -result being :— Ayes, 37 ; noes 43. Mr Pyko protested against a division being forced without the Government being allowed to state their policy. It placed men like himself in the position of voting on the personal constitution of the Minustiy instead of their policy. Mr Fergus spoke to similar effect. He declared that the Governor's Speech brought down by the Stout- Vogel Go\ eminent was the most e\tiavagant bribery bill ever brought down in New Zealand. Mr Hnrsthouse also spoke against the motion, und claimed that a Ministeiy containing .so many young New Ziulandeis bhould be given a fair fcual. Mr Stout briefly replied.
