NOTICE is hereby given that the Piako County Council popose, in accordance with the provisions of " The Counties Act, J876," and the amend ments thereof, to borrow a sum of money by way of special loan, and the particulars hereunder arc published for the in - tounatiou ot the uitopayeis in accord ance with section 140 of the said act : — The paiticular woik for which the money is to be borrowed. — Defraying cost of Te Aroha Ti am way. The sum pioposed to be borrowed for the purpose. — £9000. Revenue it is pioposed to pledge as secuiity tor buch loan. — Gold duty accruing to the council, rent ot tramway if leased, and a special annually recurring rate of one fai thing in the £, such rate not to be collected in any year when tho rc\cnne fiom the two firbt- mentioned sources shall amount to the sum of £900. A meeting of the ratepayers of each tiding will be held to consider the above pioposal at noon on Tuesday, the 23rd day of September, 1884, at the undeimentioned places in the respective ridings :- Taotaoioa — Mr Hunt's lesidence.
