CAMBRIDGE JOCKEY CLUB.

A meeting of the above club was held at the Criterion Hotel, Cambridge, on Monday evening last. There was a good attendance and the chair was occupied by Mr F. A. Whitaker, the vice-president of the club. Accounts. — The Secretary submitted a statement of accounts for the autumn meeting, which on the motion of Mr Forrest, seconded by Mr Grice, was unanimously adopted. Credit Balanck. — The Secretary stated that the credit balance of the club at the present timo was £128. The accounts were audited by Mr Forrest. Secretauy's Resignation.— The Secretary tendered his resignation, which on the motion of Mr Asher, seconded by Mr Hewitt was not accepted. — Mr Scott consented to letaiu office until the January meeting. Treasdrkr. — On the motion of Mr Forrest, Mr Allwill was appointed treasurer of the club, and to be empowered to receive entries and collect accounts and to countersign all cheques drawn on the club's accounts iv conjunction with the secretary. Couksjc Committee. — It was agreed th.it Messrs Hewitt and Allwill be appointed a committee to keep the course in order, and to spend the necessary funds for so doing. Miscellaneous. — On the motion of Mr Forrest, seconded by Mr Grice, it was agreed that a meeting of the club be called for the purpose of determining the basis upon which the future races in connection with the club be held. It M-as further re«olved that a limited liability company be formed for the purpose of taking over the course, and that a meeting be called by the secretary for the evening when the nominations for the Spring Meeting are due. Votes of Thanks. — A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the vice-presi-dent tor the able manner in which he had conducted the business of the meeting. Also, on the motion of Mr Hewitt, seconded by Mr Allwill, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the secretary foi the creditable manner in which he had conducted the business of the club for the past year. This concluded the business.
